Heir - End of Innocence

Let's see what amazon has to say about this book

A Princess of 16 summers was to secure the fates of two kingdoms. Destiny demanded her to sacrifice her happiness and her dreams of a complete life filled with passion, happiness and love. Would she rebel against the verdict of fate and become the Queen she was never meant to be? To what end extend would Padmakishori go to fulfil her desires? Or will she accept the compromise for the sake of her father and husband.

An intriguing story that spans through four generations and two kingdoms, "Heir - End of Innocence" is a saga of a Princess learning to survive and thrive in the world of conspiracy and politics.

Now the Review:

Heir: End of Innocence is a book which unveils the story of a princess where the pages are dripping with injustice, orthodox views which has some traces now as well but prevailed a lot in the earlier times. The story line revolves around princess Padmakishori who is the only heir of the kingdom since she is the only child of the King. Rules are always different for girls, she is the sole owner of the kingdom after her parents but her father want her to marry someone who will rule after him. The fact that a kingdom can’t be ruled by a Queen or a princess alone has been put forward and I was really keen to see if this stereotype is challenged. The narration and descriptions are given very well which adds to the storyline. I really like the concept as it a bit unique. It depicts the sacrifices the royal blood had to make in those times. I really liked the entire plot and story line as it has good details and the narration is fluid. The cover is very beautiful. The title is aptly chosen as it gives hints of fight against injustice.
