write up is especially for food anchors on Indian televisions- mayor and Rocky!
Many of you are too bigger fans of these two lovely personalities on small
television. Isn’t? I am too one of those
crazy fans of them. Let me tell my readers that recently I visited Select City
Walk, Saket and get a chance to meet these anchors. Personally speaking, they
have a great height, personality and perfect tone of voice. I get flat there
only! (Wink) So this October Write up is dedicated to our most famous and food
lovers. Hope you love it!
HOMP that is
Highway on My Plate is a weekly travel food show that airs on the NDTV channel
Good times since 2007. Many of our readers recognised this face and didn’t need
any briefing of these pleasing personalities even. It is anchored by Food
lovers and chuddy buddy- Rocky Singh and mayor Sharma. They actually have
travelled around 120000 Kms across India in the search of good food. They share
the experience with full stretch and height to the viewers. Likewise Zomato,
they are living legends that gives full proof review of the food items in
India. As we met them today and appreciated there show, they sadly told us that
they are not working with NDTV, but history channels. Adding to it too, Rocky
Singh too announced that HOMP hills will be last season of them on NDTV. They
also stated that they will be soon seen in a new awtar in new show. This show
has got good TRP rating and love of fan for their food loving attitude and
crazy attitude. I love their sense of humour. This show too won the “best
travel show” by Indian telly awards of 2008.
They too come out with the book called: Highway on My Plate: The Indian
Guide to Roadside Eating. Everybody loves the whole lot.

The Show:
Show is form
with very ordinary format where the anchor visit many spot of India and share
the whole experience with the viewer. This show revolves around ONLY highways
of India in particular. But makes this show different and most loved by the
viewers? The answer is that the anchors are extra ordinary and fun loving that
grap most of the attention. The anchors show each and every highlights of the
trip from the decor to the comforts of the sitting to the food tastes. Not only
just 5 star hotels, they spot dhabas and little joints too. The
only things they wanted to have is their taste must be best. Recently we also
find that these anchors have ask for many suggestions from our fans to share
favourite food joints with them so that they can share them with their fans so
that they can air them with television. Not just video or decor, they actually
gives important to the little details to everything associated with it. The
best thing I love about this show is that they “Grade the restaurant” from one
to ten. They are decided in the grading system in the system of food, services,
ambience and cost. Mayur is purely vegetarian and gives all due respect to the
viewers. The food quote in the end of the show is cherry on the top.
HOSTS:
It is very
good to know that these two hosts- Mayur and Rocky are from military
backgrounds. It is said that Rocky had many jobs in the past from gas
distributors to British airways. He is crazy and very passionate to work. His
passions are scuba diving, ornithology, golf and FOOD. They both have a very good chemistry and
friendship that takes the shows to another level of popularity.
We all them and love to see them
on television all the times too. I hope these anchor surely love this write up
and make a comeback with different genre for us.
